Kwara State Police Command has arrested a suspect identified as Ibrahim Hassan for the alleged murder of his father. The Command’s Spokesperson, Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the arrest, said the suspect allegedly administered paracetamol injection mixed with other substances to his father and strangulated him to death. Ajayi noted that during investigation, the suspect confessed to the crime and would soon be charged to court.

Residents of Orji Umudagu in Owerri North local government area of Imo state have raised alarm over the negative impact of erosion in the Community. Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has said his administration will arrest and prosecute parents and guardians of out-of-school children from the next academic session.
