Ikpeazu Makes New Appointment

Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has appointed Osita Igbe as the new Rector of the State College of Health Sciences and Management. Igbe’s appointment was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State government, Chris Ezem. The statement noted that his appointment was with immediate effect. INEC Announces Date for Supplementary Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced date for the conduct of all outstanding governorship, National and State Assembly supplementary elections. Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi, revealed that the elections will hold on Saturday, April 15. This comes barely one week after the governorship elections of Kebbi and Adamawa states were declared inconclusive.

INEC Declares Mbah Winner of Enugu Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Enugu State, Peter Mbah as the winner of the March 18 governorship election. Returning Officer of INEC in the state, Maduebibisi Ofo-Iwe, declared Mbah after he polled a total of 160,895 votes. The governor elect beat his closest rival Chijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party who scored 157,552 amongst others.
