According to the OPEC report, Nigeria’s crude oil production dropped from 1 million b/d recorded in July, to 900, 000b/d in August. This is as the price of the country’s crude grade, dropped by 10 per cent within the space of one month.

Officials revealed that some of the island's power had been restored, noting that the rest will take days to be reconnected. UNICEF Charges Federal Government to Address Issues of School Children

The United Nations Children’s Fund has charged the Nigerian government to address barriers responsible for the increasing number of out-of-school children in the Country. UNICEF Country Representative to Nigeria, Peter Hawkins, said this during an interview with newsmen in Abuja. Hawkins identified poverty, proximity to school, and inadequate Water, Sanitation and Hygiene facilities, among others, as factors hindering retention in School and the completion of education in the Country.
