NCDC alerts health workers on Lassa fever outbreak

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has said 22 States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory have reported 751 confirmed cases of Lassa fever in 2022. The NCDC noted that 140 deaths have been reported. The Centre, however, appealed to health workers to maintain a high index of suspicion for the disease.

Police warns against sleeping with dogs

The Nigeria Police Force has reacted to the alarming trend of ladies allegedly sleeping with dogs for money. Reacting to the development, the Force Spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi who cited the Criminal code Act 1990 said it is an offence for anyone to have carnal knowledge of an animal.
