Lagos State Government has said that vocational skills will tackle unemployment and alleviate poverty among women and youths.
State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Bolaji Dada, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Oluyemi Kalesanwo, stated this during the closing of a four-week training organized for 250 women from Communities in the Epe Local Government Area of the State.
Dada noted that the training served as part of the State government’s poverty reduction strategy for women and youths.
Ondo State Government has upgraded some Traditional Rulers in the State Council of Obas. State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Akinwumi Sowore, who made this known, commended Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and other Stakeholders for addressing the Chieftaincy crises in the State. Sowore noted that the government is hopeful that the review of chieftaincy matters would bring peace, unity and progress to the various communities.
