Death toll from Sunday attack in Ondo rises

Ondo State Government has said the death toll from the terrorists attack on St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, has risen to 40. A statement issued by the state Commissioner for Health, Banji Ajaka, revealed that the state government’s record showed that those affected by the attack are 127 while 40 were confirmed dead. Recall that the Catholic Bishop of Ondo Diocese, Jude Arogundade, put the casualty figure at 38.

Foreign investment in Agricultural Sector drops by 99%

Capital importation into Nigeria’s agriculture sector fell by 99.23 per cent from $237.83m in the fourth quarter of 2021 to $1.76m in the first quarter of 2022. This was contained in the Nigerian Capital Importation report for Q1 2022 released by the National Bureau of Statistics. The report revealed that there was a 99.23 per cent decline within three months.
