Akeredolu orders establishment of Security Guard in Ondo

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has directed the State Chairmen of the18 Local Government Areas to establish Community Security Guards in their Council areas.

Akeredolu gave the directive when he hosted the Chairmen who paid him a condolence visit in Akure, the State Capital following the attack of gunmen on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo Community of the State.

According to the Governor, the move will improve security at the grassroots level.

NLC seeks end to University Workers’ strike

Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has called on the Federal Government to put an end to the industrial action embarked by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, and other University-Based Unions. NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, made the call during an event in Switzerland. According to Wabba, NLC has written to the Federal government on how to end the University workers’ strike.
