Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Ticket

Former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu has emerged winner of the Presidential Primary elections of the All Progressives Congress, APC. Tinubu who polled 1271 votes to defect his closest rivals, Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi who polled 316 votes and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, who had 235 votes was declared winner of the Primary Election to become the Presidential Flag bearer of the Party in the 2023 general election.

Train derailment claim 17 lives in Iran

17 people have died and 50 injured after a passenger train derailed in eastern Iran. According to reports, the disaster which occurred on Wednesday had 350 passengers on board. The report noted that the number of casualties could rise, adding that those injured have been transferred to the hospitals.
