Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has been appointed to head the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Campaign in South East. The appointment followed moves by the ruling Party to create Zonal Directorates for the Six Geopolitical Zones. According to the Party, the appointment was as a result of Uzodinma’s tenacity in ensuring that the Party wins all the elective positions in the Zone ahead of 2023 general elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said it is impossible to extend the Continuous Voters Registration, CVR. Akwa Ibom State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mike Igini, said the commission needed to suspend the exercise to enable it to begin other processes to weed out multiple registrants. Recall that concerned Nigerians had demanded that the CVR be extended to enable eligible voters register.
