The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS has declared that no Political Party will hold a convention to select any Presidential Candidate in Abuja. NANS President, Sunday Asefon, made this known in a statement issued on Sunady. In the statement, NANS told the Political Parties to either end the strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU or forget holding Presidential Primary in the Nation’s Capital.

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has assured workers in the state that his administration will continue to prioritize their welfare. Obaseki who gave the assurance in a statement issued on Sunday to mark the 2022 Workers’ Day, disclosed that things have continued to improve since the onset of his administration. The Governor attributed the improvement to the state’s e-governance strategies, noting that it has improved work processes in the state

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has felicitated with workers in the Sate on the occasion of this year’s workers’ day. A statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur, Governor Ortom commended the state workers for their uncommon resilience in spite of the hardship occasioned by the poor economic environment. The statement acknowledged the contributions of the workers to the socio-economic and political development of the state.
