The mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boichenko, has appealed for the full evacuation of the southern Ukrainian city. Boichenko, did not provide any update on any fighting in or around the city on the Sea of Azov. The Mayor said tens of thousands of residents have been killed.
United States has charged former Honduran President, Juan Hernandez with drug and weapons offences. An earthquake has struck off the western coast of Nicaragua. According to the United States Geological Survey, USGS, no tsunami threat was immediately reported following the earthquake, which had a preliminary magnitude of 6.7. The USGS said there was a low likelihood of casualties and damage from the tremor. The agency noted that there are structures in the region that are vulnerable to earthquakes.
