Giggs Resigns as Wales Manager

Giggs stepped away from his role in November 2020 after being arrested, and was later charged with using controlling behavior and assaulting his ex-girlfriend. Robert Page took over as interim Wales Boss in Giggs' absence, leading them to first World Cup finals since 1958.

West Ham has completed the signing of Morocco defender,NayefAguerd for £30m. The Premier League Club confirmed that Aguerd signed a five-year contract with the Hammers. The left-sided player made 66 league appearances for Rennes after joining from fellow French club Dijon in 2020.

Anthony Joshua’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk has been confirmed for August 20. The world heavyweight fight will take place at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia. Joshua will be attempting to wrestle back the WBA, IBF and WBO belts he lost in September. Usyk won the first fight on points against the Ukrainian in London.

Porto agrees to sell Viera to Arsenal

Porto have agreed to sell midfielder Fabio Vieira to Arsenal in a 40m euro deal. A statement issued by the club revealed that Arsenal would pay an initial 35m euros for Vieira with the rest in potential add-ons. The player has yet to win a senior cap for Portugal but was voted player of the tournament at last year's European Under-21 Championship.

Peseiro Names Osimhen as Team’s Penalty Taker

Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro has named Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as the team’s first-choice penalty taker. Osimhen will take over the role from Odion Ighalo, who last featured for the Eagles against Ghana in March, during the 2022 World Cup play-off. He made history after scoring four goals for the Eagles as they thrashed Sao Tome and Principe 10-0 at the Stade Adrar in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations

Egyptian Football Association Sacks Coach

The Egyptian Football Association has sacked Ehab Galal as coach of the team. Galal, was dismissed after a shock 2-0 defeat to Ethiopia in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier and 4-1 friendly loss against South Korea. He was appointed by Egypt after a season at Cairo-based Pyramids and previously managed several other club sides.
