Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has reiterated the need for the nation’s judicial officers to remain courageous in dispensing justice. Wike disclosed this in a statement signed by his media aide, Kelvin Ebiri. The statement stressed that it is expected of judicial officers to do what they consider fitting in any circumstance. Federal Government Restates Efforts Towards Tackling Insecurity

The Federal government has restated its efforts towards tackling insecurity in the country. Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, made this known to newsmen in Abuja. Mohammed noted that the federal government is fast-tracking the installation of some security gadgets on railway tracks to ensure adequate surveillance. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has assured that votes would count in the forth coming governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states. INEC’s National Commissioner in charge of Information, Voter Education and Publicity, Festus Okoye, said preparations were on to deliver free, fair, transparent and inclusive elections in the states.
