Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has declared his intention to run for a second term as governor of the state. Abiodun made the announcement on Thursday at the Government House in Abeokuta, the state capital. The Governor also announced that his Deputy, Noimot Oyedele, remains his running mate in the contest.

Adamawa State House of Assembly has removed a member, Ayuba Kwada who defected from the governing Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the main opposition, All Progressives Congress, APC The Assembly effected the removal of Ayuba at its sitting on Wednesday declaring his seat vacant by relying on Section 109(1g) of the Constitution. Recalled, Ayuba had last weekend announced his defection from the PDP.
President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in four new Permanent Secretaries. The oath of office was taken by the quartet on Wednesday at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja. The new officials are Beatrice Jiddy-Agba, Kachollom Daju, Shehu Ibrahim and Mary Ogbe.
