Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has unveiled 68 housing units, under the National Housing Programme in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of the State. Obaseki, called for increased collaboration between the state and federal governments, as well as other stakeholders. He assured that his administration is prepared to work with all partners including communities to make sure that the issue of housing development is addressed.

Edo State Government has promised to build more facilities for Lassa fever testing. The state Commissioner for Health, Obehi Akoria, disclosed this after the weekly State Executive Council meeting at the Government House, in Benin. Imo State government, in collaboration with the United States has sensitized residents on the importance of COVID-19 vaccination. The state Commissioner for Health, Prosper Success urged people with underlying health conditions to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Also speaking, United States Chargé d’Affaires in Nigeria, Kathleen FitzGibbon, reiterated the need for all eligible persons to receive their vaccinations which are being offered free of charge.

The Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa has said that road construction remains his priority and will continue to award construction of roads to link communities till his last day in office. This was disclosed in statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Charles Aniagwu in Asaba the state capital. Aniagwu noted the roads will link to communities, which will ease the movement of agricultural produce from one community to another.

The University Of Agriculture And Environmental Sciences, UAES,Umuagwo, Imo State, on Wednesday, held its maiden matriculation ceremony for its pioneer students . Speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor, Placid Njoku notes that the institution intends to produce agropreneurs. Bayelsa State Government has called on the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission to change the extant formula for sharing revenue. The state Governor, Douye Diri, who was represented by his Deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo,made the call while declaring open a two-day stakeholders’ sensitization forum on Tuesday, in Yenagoa, the state capital.
