Court sacks Ebonyi PDP chairman

A Federal High Court in Abuja, has sacked the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Ebonyi state, Tochukwu Okorie.

In his ruling, the presiding Judge. Ahmed Mohammed held that Okorie was not validly nominated to contest the election for the position of Chairman.

Justice Mohammed directed the PDP to issue Silas Onu a certificate of return declaring him as the duly elected Chairman of the PDP in Ebonyi.

Recall that the Ebonyi chapter of the PDP, on October 16, 2021 elected Okorie as the new chairman of the party.
