A former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has emerged the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP. Kwankwaso disclosed this during the Party’s convention in Abuja on Wednesday. He was picked unanimously by NNPP’s 774 party delegates from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory through a voice voting.

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has said the South-East was denied the opportunity to produce Nigeria’s next President due to lack of equity. Uzodinma stated this while speaking with newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja. The Governor, who noted the injustice to the region, hoped that one day the Presidency would come to the South-East.
Anambra State Police Command has commended indigenes of the state for coming out with information on criminals in their localities. The Command Spokesperson, Toochukwu Ikenga, who gave the commendation, said information by indigenes has helped the Command burst many criminal syndicates. Ikenga, however called on more indigenes to come up with information, including the camping of criminals in any part of the State.
Jigawa State Government has warned citizens of the State over fake online recruitment portal being circulated on social media. A statement issued on Tuesday by the Public Relations Officer, Office of the Head of the Civil Service, Ismaila Ibrahim, stressed that the State government did not authorized such advertisement or contracted any recruitment agency. The statement therefore, urged the public to disregard such online adverts.
