Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro, has sacked two Lectures of the Institution over alleged Sundry Academic fraud. This was contained in a statement published in the University’s bulletin and made available to newsmen on Tuesday. The statement noted that the lecturers were sacked after being found guilty of false claim of research drone fabrication, fraudulent Computerized Based Examination, extortion, embezzlement and falsification of Students results.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has approved the payment of outstanding gratuity to pensioners in the State. According to a statement signed by the Director-General of the State Pension Board, I. Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has commended Traditional Rulers in the State for their active participation in curtailing the increasing rate of cultism in the State. Abiodun gave the commendation while speaking at the Thanksgiving Service of the 20th Coronation Anniversary of Oba Adewale Osiberu in Sagamu area of the State. The Governor assured the Monarchs of his administration’s support to partner with them towards providing security in the State.

The National Peace Committee, NPC has appealed to residents of Ekiti State to choose peace over violence in the coming Governorship election in the State. The appeal was made in a statement issued by the Chairman of the Committee, Abdulsalami Abubakar.
