NUC Grants License to Enugu Government for Establishment of University of Medical and Applied Sciences

The National Universities Commission, NUC, has granted license to Enugu State Government for the establishment of the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences, SUMAS. Presenting the license, the Executive Secretary, NUC, Abubakar Rasheed, congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on the establishment of the University. The license issued to Governor Ugwuanyi was sequel to the enactment of the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences Law, on April 13, 2022.

A statement issued by the Special Adviser to Governor on Media, Zailani Bappa, stated that the state government has yet to close down the telecommunication services as being rumored.
