The National Universities Commission, NUC, has granted license to Enugu State Government for the establishment of the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences, SUMAS. Presenting the license, the Executive Secretary, NUC, Abubakar Rasheed, congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on the establishment of the University. The license issued to Governor Ugwuanyi was sequel to the enactment of the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences Law, on April 13, 2022.

Zamfara State Government is reconsidering shutting down telecommunication services in the state for the second time. A statement issued by the Special Adviser to Governor on Media, Zailani Bappa, stated that the state government has yet to close down the telecommunication services as being rumored. The statement stressed that it has become necessary to clear some obvious misconceptions on the alleged closure of telecom services.

Ekiti State Governorship Candidates has signed a Peace Accord ahead of the poll billed for Saturday. The Candidates signed the Peace Accord at an event held in Ado-Ekiti under the auspices of the National Peace Committee led by former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar who was represented by the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah. The accord was signed by the eleven Candidates vying for the Governorship position.

Lagos State Government has inaugurated an Anti-Okada Squad to join the Police in enforcing the ban on motorcycles in six Local Government Areas of the State.
