Kaduna State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has bemoaned the rate of killing in the State. A statement signed by the State CAN Chairman, John Hayab, expressed disappointment over the government’s negligence towards security issues in the State. Akwa Ibom Gets New Police Commissioner

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, has approved Olatoye Durosinmi as the new Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State. A statement issued by the State Public Relations Officer, Odiko Macdon, disclosed that Durosinmi took over from Andrew Amiengheme, who has been promoted to Assistant Inspector-General of Police. The statement revealed that the new Commissioner assumed duty as the 31st Commissioner of Police in the State.
