Kaduna State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has bemoaned the rate of killing in the State. A statement signed by the State CAN Chairman, John Hayab, expressed disappointment over the government’s negligence towards security issues in the State. The statement noted that the rate at which they have turned on the Church in the State and Nigeria was alarming.
Niger State Government has constituted a Committee to investigate the cause and increase in death cases in Private Health facilities in the State. Chairman of the Committee, Haruna Aliyu, noted that the measure was adopted to avert more deaths in such facilities. According to Aliyu, the Committee would submit its reports and recommendations to the State government for action and implementation.
Ogun State government has debunked reports that the present administration received N37billion as road refund from Federal government carried out by the immediate past administration in the State. The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, has approved Olatoye Durosinmi as the new Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State. A statement issued by the State Public Relations Officer, Odiko Macdon, disclosed that Durosinmi took over from Andrew Amiengheme, who has been promoted to Assistant Inspector-General of Police. The statement revealed that the new Commissioner assumed duty as the 31st Commissioner of Police in the State.

Osun State government has declared June 24 as work-free day to enable Civil Servants obtain their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs. This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Wole Oyebamiji. The statement noted that the development was to enable all Public and Civil Servants pick their PVC to perform their franchise in the July 16 Governorship election.
