Bauchi Government Declares Monday Public Holiday

Bauchi State Government has declared Monday, June 27 Public holiday to enable eligible voters participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.

The statement noted that the Governor is worried about the low participation of eligible voters for the exercise.

It directed all Political Appointees and other Public office holders to mobilize registrants in their respective electoral wards for the exercise.

Court of Appeal Reserves Judgment on Appeal Filed Against Igboho

The Court of Appeal, Ibadan Division, has reserved judgment in the appeal filed against the N20.5bn damages awarded in favor of Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Igboho. Adeyemo’s counsel, Yomi Aliyyu, revealed that after the court session the case was adjourned. Aliyyu noted that the court would communicate the exact date for the judgment to the parties in the suit.
