The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has recovered at least N30 billion out of the N109 billion allegedly embezzled by the suspended Accountant-General of the Federation, Idris Ahmed. Chairman of the Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, disclosed this at the Ministerial Media Briefing at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday. Nigeria’s inflation rate rose to 21.47 per cent in November, continuing its 2022 surge. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, this is because of an increase in demand due to the festive season. NBS disclosed that this was 0.38 per cent points higher than the 21.09 per cent that was recorded in October.
Hollywood actor, Henry Cavill will no longer return as ‘Superman.’ Cavill announced his exit from the franchise on his Instagram account. His announcement comes just months after he confirmed his return as the caped superhero. Pablo Mari has returned to training with his loan club Monza two months after being stabbed in an Italian supermarket. The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to publish details of politicians buying and storing up Permanent Voter Cards.
