Explosion in Afghanistan Claim Lives

At least three people have been killed and dozens wounded when an explosion struck a mosque in Kabul, Afghanistan. Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran, revealed that the blast has casualties, but the numbers are not clear yet. Electricity Employees Suspend Strike

The National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, has suspended its nationwide strike. Secretary General of the Union, Joe Ajaero, revealed that the decision followed an emergency meeting with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige on Wednesday. Ajaero assured that electricity would be restored across the country. Recall that electricity workers shut down all Transmission Companies of Nigeria, TCN, on Wednesday.

German director Wolfgang Petersen has died aged 81. A spokeswoman confirmed Petersen died of pancreatic cancer in Los Angeles. He directed stars such as Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt, over a career spanning five decades.
