Governors to Allocate Resources to Primary Health Care

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum, has promised to allocate more resources to primary health care.

Chairman of the Forum, Kayode Fayemi made the pledge at the forum’s meeting at the State House, Abuja.

Fayemi noted that governors would recruit the required quantity and quality of workforce in all primary health care facilities.

The Chairman assured that governors will develop a state-led and Local Government Area-levels Primary Health Care leadership challenge for LGA chairmen, to strengthen the commitment of the local government chairmen to primary health.

Electricity Employees Suspend Strike

The National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, has suspended its nationwide strike. Secretary General of the Union, Joe Ajaero, revealed that the decision followed an emergency meeting with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige on Wednesday. Ajaero assured that electricity would be restored across the country. Recall that electricity workers shut down all Transmission Companies of Nigeria, TCN, on Wednesday.
