Federal Government to Launch $750m World Bank-backed Programme

The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, PEBEC, has unveiled its plans to kick start a $750million World Bank-funded programme in January next year. This was disclosed by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, during a meeting of the PEBEC on Tuesday. According to Osinbajo, the $750million operation comprises two main areas, a $730million Program-for-Results Financing component and a $20million technical assistance for investment project financing.

Air Strike in Turkey Claim Lives

At least three Syrian Soldiers have been killed and six wounded in a Turkish air raid. The Syrian armed forces who disclosed this revealed that the attack caused material and human losses in some Turkish army positions. Meanwhile, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said the Turkish raid killed 17 people, adding that it was not clear if they were all Syrian Soldiers.
