Barcelona captain Alexia Putellas has retained the Women's Ballon d'Or, award of 2022. Putellas, who won the award last year, suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the summer and missed Spain's Euro 2022 campaign. Before her injury, she was the Champions League top scorer for Barca last season with 11 goals in 10 games.

Australia has said it will no longer recognize West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola, will inaugurate 62 new Senior Advocates of Nigeria on Monday, November 28. This was contained in a statement issued by the Supreme Court’s Director of Press and Information, Akande Festus. The Nigeria Immigration Service has ordered the investigation of a case of extortion allegedly perpetrated by officers at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State. According to Comptroller-General of the Service, Isah Idris, revealed that the investigation followed a recent outcry by a Dubai-bound Nigerian, who alleged massive extortion. Lagos State Government has engaged traditional leaders on the need to eradicate sexual and gender-based violence.
