President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to hand over a country free from insecurity. Buhari made the promise during the inauguration of the Emblem Appeal Fund, on Wednesday in Abuja. He reiterated that he would hand over a Nigeria that is free from insecurity to the next generation of leaders. The President, however, stressed the Federal Government’s commitment to the welfare of veterans.

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has expressed optimism that the value of the United States dollar will drop to N200 following the naira’s redesign. Bawa disclosed this in an interview with newsmen on Wednesday. The Chairman, who commended President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the redesigning of the naira, noted that the naira should be redesigned every eight years.

Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has endorsed devolution of powers and called for sincerity, unity, decency, and diligence on issues. Obasanjo disclosed this when he hosted the leaders of the Yoruba Council of Elders,  led by Ajibade Oyekan.
