Collapsed building in Lagos Claim lives

A mother and her child have been confirmed dead after a three-storey building collapsed in the Ebute Metta Area of Lagos State. According to the Permanent Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu who confirmed the incident said the building collapsed on Sunday. Oke-Osayintolu disclosed that those rescued included seven children and 16 adults, while nine rescued alive have been treated and discharged.

AfDB puts Africa’s infrastructure deficit at $108bn

The President of the African Development Bank Group, Akinwumi Adesina, has said that Africa faces an infrastructure gap of between $68billion to $108billion annually. According to Adesina, the bank had committed over $44billion to infrastructure across the continent in the last six years in areas of transport, energy, water, and sanitation.
