Buni commiserates with victim’s families affected by collapsed building

Yobe State Governor, Mai Buni has commiserated with the families of five persons who died from building collapse following heavy rainstorm in Damaturu. Buni who sympathized with those who sustained injuries, prayed for their quick recovery. The Governor, however, directed the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, to ensure treatment of those who sustained injuries and to provide the victims with emergency relief materials to cushion their hardship.

Bank loans to government rise to N16.32trillion

Rebels attack in Congo claim lives

Rebels have killed at least 14 people, including children, in an overnight attack on a displaced persons camp in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. Army Spokesman, Jules Tsikudi who disclosed this on Tuesday said the rebels raided a site outside the town of Fataki where hundreds of civilians have sought refuge. Meanwhile, the Civil Society Leader, Dieudonne Lossa gave a provisional death toll of 15.

House of Representatives to amend Electoral bill

The House of Representatives has said it will hold an emergency plenary on Wednesday. Acting Clerk of the House, Yahaya Danzaria made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday. The statement noted that the emergency session was called to concur the decision of the Senate on the Electoral bill. Recalled that the Senate had amended the Electoral bill to allow statutory delegates to be delegates at Indirect Primaries.
