Burnley has sacked manager Sean Dyche with eight games left of their season in the Premier League. Burnley chairman, Alan Pace said it was an incredibly difficult decision to Part Company with the 50-year-old, but the change is needed. Dyche was the Premier League's longest serving manager, having taken over at Turf Moor in October 2012.

World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has revealed that he is not thinking of retiring before his bout with Dillian Whyte. Fury, faces Whyte at a sold-out Wembley Stadium on 23 April,. The World heavyweight champion said he would retire after the fight.

Leicester City PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League to reach the club's first European semi-final. Eran Zahavi pounced on a mistake by Youri Tielemans to open the scoring. They will face the winners of Roma versus Bodo/Glimt, who lead 2-1 following the first leg.

British number one Cameron Norrie lost to Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the Monte Carlo Masters second round. Norrie forced a deciding set before Spain's Ramos-Vinolas, who was hampered by an abdominal injury. Compatriot Dan Evans lost his second-round match 7-6 (7-3) 6-2 to Belgian David Goffin.

Manchester City held off Atletico Madrid to qualify for   Champions League semi-final showdown with Real Madrid. City kept a clean sheet in the face of intimidation from a physical Atletico side. Atletico ended the contest with 10 men when defender was shown a second yellow card for a dangerous follow through on Phil Foden.

World number one Novak Djokovic lost to Alejandro Fokina at the Monte Carlo Masters. Djokovic was playing in his first tournament since February after missing the US hard court swing. Fokina won 6-3 6-7 (5-7) 6-1 to reach the third round.

Villarreal dumped Bayern Munich out of the Champions League on Tuesday. Samuel Chukwueze’s 88th-minute strike at the Allianz Arena gave the Spaniards a 1-1 draw in the second leg of their quarter-final tie. Villarreal are into the semi-finals for the first time since 2006 and will play either Liverpool or Benfica in the last four. The English side takes a 3-1 lead into Wednesday’s second leg at Anfield.

Britain's Dan Evans beat Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi in straight sets to reach the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters. Evans was dominant in the first set but the second was more open. He will face the winner of David Goffin and Jiri Lehecka in the next round.
