Bournemouth has sacked Coach, Scott Parker after Saturday's 9-0 defeat at Liverpool. The club announced that Gary O’Neil will take interim charge of the first team, assisted by Shaun Cooper and Tommy Elphick.

West Ham has signed Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta on a five year contract. Paquteta, who is expected to be part of the Brazil squad at this year's World Cup, joined from Lyon. The initial £36.5m deal for the player could rise to more than £50m with potential add-ons. He joined Lyon for £17m in 2020 after 18 months at AC Milan.

Nottingham Forest has signed Atletico Madrid's full-back, Renan Lodi on a season-long loan. Lodi is their 18th signing of the summer for the newly promoted side. He joined Atletico in 2019 and has played 118 games for Diego Simeone's side, winning La Liga in 2021, and has played 27 times in the Champions League.  

The Belgian Grand Prix has secured its place on the 2023 Formula 1 Calendar with a new one-year contract. The race had been vulnerable as F1 juggled its options, but has secured a reprieve. But F1 wants evidence organizers are willing to make significant investment to secure its longer-term future.

Home-based Super Eagles Head Coach, Salisu Yusuf has unveiled a 22-Man Squad for the 2023 African Nations Championship Qualifier against the Black Galaxies of Ghana. Yusuf dropped 13 players from the initial 35 players invited to camp and the list consisted of three Goalkeepers, Eight Defenders, Six Midfielders, and Five Strikers. Britain's Heather Watson has reached the final round of US Open qualifying with victory against Vitalia Diatchenko. Watson beat the Russian 6-2 6-3 in her second qualifying match. She will face Czech Sara Bejlek for a place in the main draw.

Tennis star Novak Djokovic has announced that he will not be able to travel to New York City for the US Open. The tournament, the last Grand Slam of the year, is set to kick off next week. Djokovic played in last year’s US Open and made it to the final of the men’s singles.

Nigeria Midfielder, Ubong Ekpai has joined the Czech Republic Club, FK Milada Boleslav on a season-long loan deal. Ekpai moved to Milada Boleslav from Czech Republic Champions, Slavia Prague. According to reports, the 26-year-old has already started training with his new teammates.
