Norrie, looked sharp in a 6-2 6-4 victory against Serbia's Miomir Kecmanovic in the first round. Arsenal regained their spot at the top of the Premier League table after defeating Nottingham Forrest 5-0. The match which saw substitute Reiss Nelson score a double, pushed the Gunners ahead of Manchester City with 31 points. This will be the first time the Gunners have won by five goals since 2018.  

Spanish prosecutors have dropped corruption and fraud charges against Neymar. Prosecutor announced the withdrawal of charges against all the accused for all the allegations they had faced. The charges were made against the Brazil forward and others accused in a trial over his 2013 transfer from Santos to Barcelona. Prosecutors had initially sought a two-year jail term and a 10m euro fine for the 30-year-old.

Andy Murray is out of the Swiss Indoors after suffering defeat by Bautista Agut in Basel. The former world number one lost 6-3 6-2 to the Spaniard in the last 16. Agut fought back from an early service break to win the first set before claiming breaks in Murray's first and final service games of the second set.

The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has announced a deadline for countries to declare interest in staging the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. CAF announced that the final date for declaration is November 11 2022. It added that finalized bids, including documents, proposed host cities and government guarantees, will reach its Cairo headquarters by 16 December.
