Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has said he is unsure of running for President come 2023. Jonathan made this known while addressing supporters who protested at his Abuja Office, demanding that he should declare for the 2023 presidential election. The Former President, however, affirmed that he cannot declare because some processes are still ongoing.

Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said it needs at least N239.2billion to procure voting materials that will be used in the 2023 general election. This was contained in the 2023 General Election Project Plan launched by INEC in Abuja. According to the Project Plan, N27.1billion has been set aside by the Commission for possible run-off elections.
