INEC clears air on postponing elections

Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has insisted that the 2023 general election will hold as planned despite the insecurity in the country.

Chairman of the Electoral body, Mahmood Yakubu, stated this at a public presentation on Thursday in Abuja.

Yakubu noted that next year’s polls would be governed by the new Electoral Act.

The INEC Chairman, therefore, appealed to Nigerians to join hands in ensuring a success of the process.
