The All Progressives Congress, APC, has fixed a new date for the Screening of its Presidential Aspirants. The Party’s National Organizing Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, announced this on Monday in Abuja. According to Argungu, the Party has set 24th and 25th May for the screening exercise.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said its plan to register at least 20 million voters before the end of June is unlikely to come to fruition. Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has denied reports that he has withdrawn from the Presidential race to pursue another term in the senate. A statement issued on Sunday by his Presidential Campaign Organization Spokesperson, Iyke Ekeoma, dismissed the possibility of running for another term in office. The statement encouraged his supporters not to entertain fear as he is working tirelessly to emerge the Presidential candidate of the All Progresives Congress, APC.

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has postponed the Screening of all the Presidential Aspirants scheduled to take place on Monday, May 23 indefinitely. A statement issued on Sunday by the Party National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka disclosed that a new date for the Screening exercise would be announced by the Party. The statement regrets any inconvenience caused by the postponement.
