The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, has warned the All Progressives Congress, APC, against selecting a Muslim as Bola Tinubu’s running mate. A statement issued by HURIWA coordinator, Emmanuel Onwubiko, warned that such move would throw Nigeria into a religious crisis. The statement noted that the election of a southerner as APC’s presidential candidate has restored National unity in Nigeria.

A presidential aspirant of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore has stepped down from his position as the national chairman of the party. Sowore revealed that the Constitution of the party does not allow him to be the chairman while contesting for its presidential ticket.
