Obi Calls for Extension of Voter Registration

A former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to extend the voter registration exercise across the country.

Obi, who made the call on his Twitter handle, stated that voter registration, especially in the South East had been delayed by technical bottlenecks.

The presidential flag bearer of Labor Party, called on INEC to make possible a speedy registration of voters.

INEC had earlier extended the deadline for online registration for new PVCs from May 31, 2022, to June 30, 2022, but maintains that the deadline for all registrations will be June 30.
