Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has accused the state governor, Hope Uzodinma, of politicizing insecurity in the state. A statement issued the party's spokesperson, Emenike Nmeregini, criticized the governor’s speech on Easter Sunday. The statement called on President Muhammadu Buhari to order an immediate investigation of Governor Uzodinma’s latest outbursts and threats against innocent citizens of the state.
Ondo state government has suspended a Civil Servant for reportedly spreading fake news about the death of the Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu. The suspension was disclosed by the Head of Service, John Adeyemo, on Wednesday. Adeyemo disclosed that the civil servant’s name has been forwarded to the Civil Service Commission for appropriate punishment. The Head of Service, however, expressed joy that the Governor is back to the country hale and hearty.
Following the alleged employment racketeering in Akwa Ibom Civil Service, the state government has urged the public to report anyone or group involved in the extortion for prosecution. Head of Service, Effiong Essien, who disclosed this to newsmen in Uyo, the State Capital assured the privacy of the informant would be kept. Essien noted that his office has been working hard to ensure that the syndicate is smashed.

Lagos State Government has expressed its readiness to upgrade the computer systems (applications) in all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the state. Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Olayinka Fashola, disclosed this on Tuesday during a stakeholders’ workshop on the system upgrade project in Ikeja, the State Capital.
