The apex Igbo Socio-Cultural Organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has described as untrue the statement credited to Oluwo of Iwo, Abdulrosheed Akanbi, that the Igbo cannot be trusted with the office of the Nigerian presidency.
Reacting to the allegations on Tuesday, Ohanaeze President General, George Obiozor, noted that Oba Akanbi’s attack on the Igbo was not based on any verifiable evidence but on self-serving interests.
Obiozor advised Oba Akanbi to open-minded towards all, especially people of other ethnic groups.
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige has declared his intention to contest for the position of President in the 2023 general election Ngige unveiled his presidential ambition before a crowd in Idemili South local government area of Anambra State. Addressing the crowd, Ngige said he was fully equipped as an administrator, with wealth of experience, as well as large heart to accommodate the differences among Nigerians.
