Correctional Service Heightens Security at Lagos Prisons

The Nigerian Correctional Service, NCoS, has beefed up security in Lagos State Prisons following the Kuje jailbreak. NCoS Lagos Spokesperson, Rotimi Oladokun confirmed the reinforcement of security on the facilities on Thursday. Oladokun disclosed that the Service Personnel have been placed on high alert. He added that the Prison authority is working with other Security Agencies to forestall any breach.

Imo state government has commenced teacher’s verification exercise in the state. Speaking at the hero’s square in Owerri the state capital, Governor Hope Uzodinma stated that the verification exercise is to enable a proper disbursement of salaries and promotions, and also for the indication of ghost workers.
