NCDC Warns that Monkey Pox is Sexually Transmitted

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has warned that Monkey pox, can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. NCDC revealed that with 66 recorded in Nigeria, at least 21 had been confirmed. The Centre added that the disease is deadlier in patients suffering from other diseases.

Federal Government restates commitment to End AIDS by 2030

The Federal government has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving the global targets geared towards ending AIDS by 2030. Director-General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS, NACA, Sambo Aliyu, made this known at the 6th National Council of AIDS Meeting in Abuja. NCDC Confirms 21 Cases of Monkeypox

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 21 cases of monkeypox since the start of the year with one death reported. This was disclosed in a statement issued by the NCDC Director-General, Ifedayo Adetifa, The statement noted that among the 21 cases reported, there has been no evidence of any new or unusual transmission of the virus.
