The Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court has adjourned the alleged child molestation case against a Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha. The presiding judge, Oluwatoyin Taiwo, adjourned the case to July 14, 2022. Justice Taiwo adjourned the case for judgment after the prosecution and defence counsel had adopted their final written addresses. Baba Ijesha is facing six counts of child defilement.
Nigerian Singer, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has been declared winner of the People’s Democratic Party Primary rerun for the Eti-Osa Constituency House of Representatives ticket in the 2023 general election. Banky polled 24 votes out of 29 votes cast by delegates at the Primary rerun held on Monday in Lagos.

American rapper Trouble was shot and killed after a night of partying. According to the public information officer with the Rockdale County Sheriff's Department, Jedidia Canty, Trouble was found lying on the ground outside of the apartment building with a gunshot wound to the chest. Canty said the rapper was visiting a female friend at the apartment complex when the suspect identified as Jamichael Jones breached the home and shot him. […]
A founding member of the legendary US rock band Bon Jovi, former bassist Alec Such, has died at the age of 70. Such was credited with bringing the band together and was remembered as a dear friend. No details were given of how or where he had died.
