Banky W wins PDP Reps Primary rerun in Lagos

Nigerian Singer, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has been declared winner of the People’s Democratic Party Primary rerun for the Eti-Osa Constituency House of Representatives ticket in the 2023 general election.

Banky polled 24 votes out of 29 votes cast by delegates at the Primary rerun held on Monday in Lagos.

Crude oil exports hit N5.6trillion in three months

Nigeria’s crude oil exports jumped to N5.6trillion in the first quarter of 2022. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Nigeria’s total merchandise trade stood at N13 trillion in the first quarter of 2022, indicating an increase of 11.05 per cent over the value recorded in the fourth quarter of 2021 and 65.41 per cent higher when compared to the value recorded in the first quarter of 2021.
