Pop star Dua Lipa has been granted Albanian citizenship. The star, who was born in London in 1995 to Kosovan-Albanian parents, was honored for promoting the country through her music and fame. Albanian president Bajram Begaj said Lipa had made the country proud with her global career and engagement in important social causes.

Reports say popular gospel singer, Sammie Okposo, is dead. Okposo’s project manager, Hillary Vincent, who confirmed the news, said the singer died on Friday morning. Vincent, however, declined further comments on the singer’s demise as he did not disclose the cause of the death.
