Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Manir Iya has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. In a letter addressed to his Ward Chairman Kware Local Government, Iya said he was notifying the Party leadership of his resignation. Algeria has recalled its ambassador to France for consultations, in a new spat over the evacuation of Algerian activist Amira Bouraoui. According to a statement, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune ordered ambassador Said Moussi to be recalled with immediate effect.
