The family of late Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh, has released her funeral arrangements. According to the arrangements, a Novelty match and a candlelight service will be held in her honor on August 19 in Lagos state. It added that on August 25, another candlelight service will be held in Benue state while her remains will be interred in her family's compound on August 26.

Scientists in Asia have identified a new virus that can cause severe fever in eastern China. The Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, has announced the implementation of appointment-based entry into passport offices. Comptroller General of NIS, Idris Jere, who was represented by the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of passport, Modupe Anyalichi, announced the policy at a workshop for officers and men of the Provost and Servicom Units of NIS Zone A Lagos state. While narrating her plight, a resident, Esther Ukachi, who spoke vernacular, urges the state government to come to their aid.
