Sanwo-Olu Announces Salary Increment for Lagos Civil Servants

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced a salary increment for public workers in the state. Sanwo-Olu made the announcement on a courtesy visit to the Head, Office of Public Service on Tuesday. According to the Governor, the increment would be above the Federal Government’s minimum wage standard. He also promised to pay all the outstanding backlog of pensions to workers by the end of October.

FG Warns Against Fake Recruitment in Nigerian Air

The Federal Government has described the website and links used for recruitment advertisements of Nigeria Air Limited as fake. A statement issued by the Special Assistant, Public Affairs, to the Minister of Aviation, James Odaudu, advised Nigerians to disregard such invitations as nothing of such exercise is currently ongoing. The statement, however, urged those who applied for the earlier officially advertised positions to get authenticated information from the official website.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has injected a total of N9 trillion into the Nigerian economy as of September 2022. Governor of the central bank, Godwin Emefiele, revealed this when the monetary policy committee meeting last Tuesday. Emefiele claimed that the apex bank injected this amount into the economy in the last 3 years while also offering a 2-year moratorium for 10-year long-term facilities.
