President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that the federal government targets N1.92tn in oil revenues in 2023. Buhari made this known while presenting the 2023 appropriation bill to a joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja. The President added that the N6.31tn and N2.42tn will go to debt servicing and government owned enterprises, respectively.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has revealed that meningitis can be transmitted through coughing, sneezing and kissing. According to the centre, the most common signs and symptoms of meningitis are fever, headache, nausea and vomiting, pain on looking at bright lights, neck stiffness, and altered consciousness levels. Kogi State Government has begun the distribution of relief materials to local government areas affected by flood. Speaking to newsmen after monitoring the distribution process, the State Commissioner for Environment, Victor Omofaiye, warned officials against diversion of the materials. Omofaiye appealed for more support from the Federal Government, corporate bodies and public-spirited individuals to improve the sufferings of the victims.
