Rivers State Branch of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has threatened to shut down hospitals in the State following the incessant abduction of its members.
NMA Secretary in the State, Hope Avundaa, stated this while reacting to the kidnap of a doctor, Steven Bagshaw.
Bagshaw, who is a senior registrar with the State Government, was reportedly kidnapped at the entrance of his residence in Rumuokoro axis of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
Cases of kidnapping had surged in the state in the last one month, leading to the Yuletide season.
Argentina captain Lionel Messi has revealed that Sunday's final will be the last World Cup game of his career. Messi scored his fifth goal of Qatar 2022 and helped set up two others in Tuesday's 3-0 semi-final win over Croatia. Playing in his fifth World Cup, Messi has never won the game's biggest prize.
