Ikpeazu Orders Cancellation of Fees Hike in ABSU

Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has ordered the immediate cancellation of the outrageous school fees introduced by the management of the state university.

Ikpeazu gave the order in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka.

The statement explained that the geometric increase in fees was unacceptable to his administration.

It added that the children of the poor must be given equal academic opportunities to access tertiary education.

The management of the University, has reverted to old school fees paid by students of the institution.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has approved the R21 malaria vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India.
